Buffalo Wild Wings

The Challenge:
What goes better with Wings than a good Brew? TMP needed to convince the folks at Buffalo Wild Wings that the pairing is a natural. An initial presentation in 2012 indicated some interest in the Talent Brew idea, but other projects were on the plate for 2013. When the client called to request another meeting, the B–dubs branding had undergone an overhaul.

As a wildly successful concept restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings plans to hire over 900 restaurant managers in 2014. A radical change to the 2014 hiring process is that Corporate will handle all hourly hiring. And as an expanding business, branding will be key to hiring in markets where candidates may not know the concept. Among hourly workers, B–dubs is considered the best job to snag – in a top–notch sports bar that offers wings, beers, fun and friends.

The B–dubs brand serves up a load of attitude, sass, and a very specific look. The TMP creative team immersed themselves in it (along some wings and hot sauce.) They walked away with a full sense of the brand and some physical items to use as art elements. All completely legal, of course. A complete Talent Brew mock up was created, fully expressing the playful language and bold look of the brand – and including a custom content page focusing on Restaurant Managers. Accompanying it was its Next Gen version.

The Result:
The Buffalo Wild Wings team was blown away with the work and the initiative of the creative team. On the horizon now is a potential Employer Brand project. As well as Talent Brew. Hats off to Marianne for bringing this to the creative team.
