Want to know more about the application process and what you can expect? Here are some helpful tips.
Start by completing an online application form and submitting your resume. Once your application and resume have been submitted, they will be reviewed by a RIM Recruiter and, depending on your skills and experience, you may be contacted for an interview.
If you are identified as a potential candidate for an open position, a Recruiter will email you with the position location, job description and requirements for your review.
This interview is normally conducted in person and is a great opportunity for you to better understand the position you are applying for and hear firsthand what it’s like to work at RIM.
If you have been identified as a successful candidate for the position, you will be given an offer of employment through your Co-op/Internship office. Upon acceptance of the offer, you will be sent an email requesting the information required to complete your offer package. You will then be sent your offer package.
RIM provides all new employees with an Orientation session on their first day of employment.Attending Orientation will ensure that you have the information you need to be successful when you first start at RIM.
For many of you, this may be the first time you’ve pulled together a professional resume. The following are some tips and tricks to present yourself in the best light.
Review the skill sets of the job and ensure that you reference that skill set in your resume.
Include classroom projects and any reports you have completed that apply to your major.
If you do not have a classroom project, include courses you have taken in school.
List the programs you have worked in that are relatable to the job for which you are applying.
Update your graduation date and information each semester.
