FAQs

I don’t have a degree – I’m still in college – is there anything at VZW for me?

Sure – check out our Verizon Wireless College Recruiting site for internship, co-op, and part-time opportunities. A Verizon Wireless internship is a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm. And because we know the value of your education, we pay you for the talent and solutions you bring to the table.

Co-ops receive college credit; interns don’t. Good news though: both are paid positions!

How can I apply for a position at Verizon Wireless?

Visit Verizon Wireless Careers now. We have a Career for Everything You Are.

What is the application process like?

All applications are done online. Once your application has been submitted one of our recruiters reviews it and determines if your skill set and professional background are a match—this takes some time because our recruiters actually review every application that comes through our system. In the event that you are identified as a candidate that possesses the desired skills, you will be contacted for a phone screen. This is followed by one or two face-to-face interviews (this highly depends on the position and the hiring manager). If you pass all your interviews, you will be contacted by the recruiter and given an offer—keep in mind that there are some contingencies that go along with us giving you an offer, which include a background investigation and drug test.

How long will it take for me to be contacted by a recruiter?

It depends. Based on the amount of applications we’ve received at one time, it can take 3 - 4 weeks to be contacted by a recruiter. In some cases, it may take longer.
