Supply chain associates keep business moving.

Replenishment is a form of art in our business. When you’re in charge of a supply chain that stocks more than 7,000 stores and wholesale clubs with fast-moving inventory, you have to be resourceful enough to keep things moving smoothly.

One way Walmart associates train to be prepared for anything is through our Replenishment Specialist Trainee Program. It’s a six-month formal training program that lays the foundation for a Walmart career in retail inventory management. Upon joining Walmart, associates are assigned a sponsor and complete the training program under the guidance of a member of the Replenishment Team. Courses include in-depth learning opportunities in inventory management, forecasting and even our proprietary replenishment tools. Program trainees also get a shot at taking on real-world challenges with hands-on experience in retail store and distribution operations.

Our Replenishment group interacts with nearly every department in the operations chain, working with buyers, suppliers, logistics and store operations to develop forecasts and costs analyses, and to find new channels and sustainable ways to meet changing business and customer needs. Our trainees will have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned by participating in replenishment operations alongside their sponsor, including working with the category buyers and suppliers to forecast impacts to consumer demand and collaborating with distribution and transportation partners to execute inventory movement across global supply chains.

Upon successful completion of this program, trainees will have the opportunity to move into a Replenishment Analyst position in Bentonville, AR.

Walmart supports replenishment for Grocery, Home, Apparel, Entertainment, Hardlines, and Health and Wellness business units in U.S. Walmart stores.

If you have experience in supply chain management or industrial engineering and want to advance your skills in demand planning, inventory management and supply planning, a position in Walmart’s Replenishment department is the challenge you’re seeking.
